BRIDGE Timber booked their semi final place against Todds with a fine performance against a well-organised Dray outfit.

Timber were first out the blocks and only after two minutes could have been one up when Dave Tierney's menacing run and cross saw Richie Jones volley just over the bar.

On 10 minutes Gary Vaughan won the ball and after a one-two with Karl Thomas, he found Liam Sweeney to whip in his pinpoint cross to Dave Tierney to volley into the right corner and give Phil Noone in the Dray goal no chance.

Dray equalised in the 20th minute from a set piece when Moore was unmarked at the back post and from the restart captain Gary Ellison's shot was cleared off the line.

Bridge kept up their momentum and they were rewarded for their hard work when Jay Farrington released the ball to Tierney to combine with Thomas before Richie Jones chested the ball and volleyed into the top corner.

Bridge Timber's third came on the hour when Gary Vaughan's defence-splitting pass put Richie Jones one-on-one and he lifted the ball over the advancing keeper to make it 3-1.

Gary Vaughan's surging run brought the fourth when he was hacked down in the box and Richie Jones calmly claimed his hat trick.

Karl Thomas was in the right place at the right time to tap in and save the blushes of an own goal on 80 minutes and again in the final minutes when Gary Jacques perfectly timed tackle and pass sent Steven Johnson on his way to bring a save out of the keeper but Thomas was on hand to make the final score 6-1.

Bridge Timber's man of the match was closely contested with Tymoczycki, Ellison, Tierney and Jones all in contention but Gary Vaughan edged it for his non-stop work rate.
