THE latest battle in the war of the sexes will be performed by Frodsham Players when they present their version of a classic comedy.

Well-loved farce The Happiest Days of Your Life, written by John Dighton and first performed in 1948, centres on a slip up made by the Ministry of Education when it accidentally evacuates the girls of St Swithin's School to boys' school Hilary Hall.

The two headteachers have a battle on their hands to try to keep the mischievous pupils separate and stop visiting parents from discovering the mix up.

Frodsham Players will put on the schooldays smash at the town's community centre from April 20 to April 23, with shows beginning at 7.45pm.

Tickets are priced £5 or £4 for students under 16, with reduced prices for the Wednesday production. For more information or to book, contact Bessie White on 01928 732515.
