RYLANDS won the North West Counties Premier Division title with this win against rivals Crosfields. Their try scorers were James Mendeika, three, Chris Meacock, Lewis Pickering, Martin Mather, Mike Reid and Anthony Whelan. Goals were kicked by James Howard and Jordan Burke, five.

CULCHETH played some of their best rugby of the season in stages and their tries were scored by Greg Hamilton and Alan Weir, who was the most improved player on show. Strong defensive displays were produced by Stuart Baker, Andrew Bourke and Jack Taylor.

LATCHFORD completed their season with an eighth successive league victory. Player of the match Johny Hewitt scored 18 points courtesy of two tries and five conversions. Matty Curran added a brace of tries, while Adam Yates-Dutton and Jordan Stephenson scored one each. Unsung Hero Jamen Smith worked tirelessly in defence and attack.

BOTH teams put a lot of effort into their play and Grappenhall continued their run of wins by producing some impressive teamwork, especially while defending their own try line. Grappenhall's tries were scored by Jordan Sherlock, two, player of the match Luke Gillooley, two and Steven Pilkington. Jonathan Ford touched down for Crosfields, whose best performers were Jack Brown, Daniel Atkins, Michael Lawless and Chris Payne.

LATCHFORD lost, on the last kick, a game in which the players gave their all. The visitors' ability to convert their tries proved to be the difference. However, there were excellent performances from Adam Ewing, who was awarded the top attacker, Ben Clarke, who picked up the top defence honour, and Tom Brady, who collected the team player award.

A MUCH-improved defensive performance from the Crosfields boys made Haydock work hard for every point they claimed. The elusive first win is not far away and the honours went to Dan Dowman, the player of the match, Joshua Wall, the top tackler, and Tom Gibbons, the most improved. Tries were scored by Joshua Wall and Jamal Taharoui.

GOOD defence wins games and Latchford proved that on Sunday. Tries were touched down by Jake Slydell, three, Liam Sullivan, two, Liam Cross, Mickey Wharton, David Lee, Ashley Cox and Jack Morgan. They all converted their tries, and Matthew Wilkinson, Ryan Burgess and Lee Eccleston also added goals.

LATCHFORD'S outstanding defence paved the way to a deserved draw. Three players - Conor McGowan-Jolley, Harvey Livett and Matthew Ryan - stood out in the tackling department, while tries were scored by Kurt Whiteley, two, Sam Dobson, Jake Upton and Mike Moye. Sean Withington was the player of the match, and Philip Judson was the unsung hero.
