FOUR gold medals were won by karate students of Warrington's Cheshire Martial Arts Centre at AMA North West Karate Championships in Darwen.
Michelle Hey led the way with gold in the individual kata (patterned moves) and kumite (fighting) events, while the collection was completed by Laura Harding in the kumite and team kumite events.
Laura also won a bronze in kata, along with Hannah Lyon and Hannah Laidlaw, while a silver medal was scooped by Sarah-Louise Conlin in individual kata. Becky Shaw claimed bronze in kumite.
