THE Back Home Project's final celebration evening was held at the new Gateway Centre.

The young people who participated in the project received certificates from the Mayor, Clr Ted Lafferty.

The Back Home Project was funded by the National Heritage Lottery Fund and aimed at exploring the culture of young people as well as looking at the contribution made to Warrington by people from ethnic minority origin.

The evening involved several amazing presentations which the young people had worked extremely hard on, including a Bhangra/Bollywood dance, a rap written by two lads, a body-popping dance and break-dance.

Those who attended the evening were privileged to taste traditional Asian food as well as a traditional English buffet.

Those involved also showed a 15-minute PowerPoint presentation.

This covered the process of the whole project and how the young people worked together to come up with the event.
