Warrington 32
Northwich 13
WARRINGTON put paid to any remaining fears of relegation with an excellent win against fellow strugglers Northwich at Walton Lea Road on Saturday.
While Warrington can now look forward to another season in rugby union's Euromanx South Lancashire Cheshire Division One, Northwich must win their last game to be sure of survival.
Warrington surged into a 17-0 lead thanks to tries from Sullivan and James, who added two conversions and a penalty.
Northwich started to assert themselves and came back with a touch down, touchline conversion and a penalty before half time.
After an exchange of penalties, Warrington further increased their lead and then sealed the success with two tries by James Shaw.
Warrington play their final league game of the season against Hoylake on April 23.
