LYMM Citizens Advice Bureau has just moved from its premises on Whitbarrow Road and is currently looking for alternative permanent premises in Lymm.

As a temporary solution, the CAB office is moving into Lymm Library and from yesterday, Wednesday, April 13, advisers have been available to deliver face-to-face advice on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 11.30am, Wednesdays from 10am to 3pm and Fridays from 9.30am to 11.30am.

In the meantime, you can continue to get telephone advice by calling 246994.

Recently, Warrington District Citizens Advice Bureau launched its latest annual report.

In the introduction to this report by Clr Sheila Woodyatt MBE, chairman of the trustee board, and Steve Cullen, district manager, stated that during last year Warrington, Lymm and Birchwood bureaux saw more than 18,000 client contacts and dealt with more than 45,922 separate issues for those clients.

Across the district, the CAB secured more than £1,483,790 through a combination of employment and benefit tribunal awards, backdated payments, debt write-offs and other consumer refunds.

Mr Cullen said: "What's more, these are only the gains we are aware of, as many clients do not return to advise us of the outcome of our advice and assistance."

One volunteer said: "From day one I believe the bureau has been committed to my success as an adviser.

"I have made many friends and I have been given the opportunity to support my local community."

Copies of the annual report are available on request from either the Warrington or Birchwood bureaux and anybody interested in volunteering for the CAB should contact Jeanne Housley on 246970.
