WORKERS at a bathroom furniture company may not have to wait much longer to find out if their jobs are safe.

As revealed in the Guardian last week, Manchester administrators PKF had extended the deadline for the sale of failing Denton Drive business Choice Interiors because an appropriate buyer had not been found.

Now Kerry Bailey, PKF joint administrator, has revealed the company's Warrington base has been sold and an imminent sale is in the offing for Northwich. She added: "We are expecting to close a deal very soon but we are still looking to secure a buyer for the Chester plant."

But Ms Bailey was unable to confirm Northwich jobs would be safe. She said: "In all likelihood, I'm sure everything will be okay but it is not up to me to make that decision. The eventual buyer will have the final say on who is employed at the firm."
