WARRINGTON'S Dante Fire and Security is celebrating after landing a contract worth £1 million.

The Paddington-based company has just been awarded a prestigious contract to fit a new fire detection system in Manchester's Arndale Centre, the latest in a line of high profile contracts including BP and Jaguar.

Dante recently moved into new premises and plans to expand its staff of 22 next year in order to meet demand.

But, in order to develop its growing workforce, the company has turned to Business Link.

As well as support for workforce development and working towards Investors in People, the firm has also had support in reviewing its profile and developing its marketing strategy.

Managing director Alan Roskell said that the company places a strong emphasis on training and business development.

He said: "In order to keep growing, we need to make sure that our staff have the right skills, from specific industry and product-related training to communication and customer service. We also need to develop as a business, and our relationship with Business Link is certainly helping with that."

Diane Hill, a workforce development adviser for Business Link Cheshire and Warrington, says that Dante is the kind of company it likes to work with.
