THE Mayor of Warrington Clr Ted Lafferty will officially start a sponsored balloon race later this month to raise money for the Guide Dogs for the Blind.
More than 200 people from 22 classes across Warrington will converge on the Pickering Arms, in Thelwall, on Saturday, April 23.
The group, which will also launch a sponsored walk, is aiming to raise £10,000.
The walk is open to everyone and will mark St George's Day by encouraging walkers to dress in red and white. If you want to take part, call Georgia Nunney on 711846.
