PRESIDENT, Joan Easby, welcomed two new members - Ruth Flemming and Iris Edmonds.
Planning permission has been granted for the 'Ruby anniversary clock' in Lymm Village which the borough council will erect.
Speaker Marie Fazackerley talked about 'dialect poetry'. Marie said that she had always had a love of words and poetry since her father used to say evening prayers with her as a child.
Marie read some of her own work.
The competition for 'A Limerick' was won by Christine Clark.
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 4.
