RAY Jackson was our speaker and he is dedicated to Lower Moss Wood educational nature reserve near Knutsford.
Ray, with the help of his band of volunteers, has provided a place for schoolchilden and disabled visitors and many others to enjoy the countryside, and learn about conservation. It has also provided a place where injured animals and birds can recover and rehabilitate before returning to the wild.
Plans for the Cheshire Show were discussed, also the Mossland Group meeting on April 27 in Newchurch Parish Hall.
The national president, Barbara Gill, attended the Cheshire Federation's spring meeting and presented our delegate with a cheque as a reward to our institute for selling a large amount of tickets for our lottery. The money may be used to fund a craft-learning day to benefit all members.
