COMMENTS have been coming in over the possibility of a rail freight terminal being developed at Parkside.
A 'concerned road user and Warrington resident' is among those to have commented.
Their letter says: "I was dismayed to read in last week's issue of the possible freight terminal plans - another blot on the landscape!
"I am a regular user of the A49 and the traffic there is often hideous without the addition of a freight terminal in Newton - this would undoubtedly add to the traffic problems already in existence.
"I would much prefer to see that the land be used for the residential purposes which Mr Atkinson is proposing.
"The freight terminal would in my view be a dreadful mistake."
