AN appeal is being made for used mobile phones which will help a Winsford support group for lone parents take children to the zoo.
Two Parents In One are hoping to take the children on a trip to Chester Zoo but are struggling to raise the money.
They are now appealing for old mobile phones which they will be able to exchange for money.
Rachel Poole, group organiser, said: "It's a great idea but we are aren't getting that much support at the moment. We get £4 for every phone we collect so if people donate one it will make a big difference.
"We asked the children where they would like to go and they decided it was the zoo so we would love to take them there."
A drop off point for old mobile telephones is located at the Winsford Centre in Cheviot Square.
