CHILDREN at an Orford primary school proved they are as bold as brass at a recent school concert.
St Andrew's Primary brass section learned to play their instruments from scratch 18 months ago as part of the Warrington Get Playing programme, organised by the Local Education Authority.
And the talented youngsters held a special concert for their parents to show how far they've come.
Head teacher Kevin Dyson said: "The concert was the culmination of the first 18 months of the project and it was a real success. The parents really enjoyed the concert, it was a real hit.
"We are very proud of the pupils. They've made amazing progress."
