A BUDDING scriptwriter saw her film become reality when moviemakers visited her school.
Adele Stanworth, aged 16, devised the idea for Flame, which is being premiered at the Pyramid arts centre tonight, Thursday, at Warrington's film festival.
On March 4, the professional film crew visited her school, Green Lane, to shoot some of the scenes. The crew is also working with Warrington fire service to shoot fire scenes for the film.
Flame is a true story about a girl with learning difficulties who fears going to school in case her mum and pet birds die in a house fire.
Paul Wilshaw, director, said: "Green Lane submitted Adele's synopsis and we had a script writer turn it into a five-minute film. It's a dark and disturbing tale with a happy ending. Picture some sort of Baron Munchausen-type fantasy setting that is dark and truly weird where the pet birds come to life in their giant birdcage and describe to the audience the girl's fears."
