WARRINGTON Hospital's children's ward has received more than £5,000 following a series of fundraising efforts.
David Shaw, who runs the four McDonalds restaurants in Warrington, raised the cash with the help of staff.
The money has paid for the play room to be refurbished, a new home corner and beds for parents.
Jane Scott, senior nurse for children's services at the hospital, said: "What David and his staff have done is just fantastic.
"The money they have raised will be of tremendous benefit to the children who come into the hospital for treatment and everyone here can't thank them enough."
