AFTER reading the sad plight of the Pavilions in the World, I've come up with an easy solution to the problem.
Why not use the huge subsidy from Halton Stadium, which is £518,000 a year of our council's money, in a positive way?
Let the stadium stand on its own two feet for a year and use the money saved to update and upgrade the Pavilions for all the teams in Runcorn who have used the place for generations.
This would also show the council if the Halton Stadium is a 'white elephant' or not.
The football foundation is willing to put money into the Pavilions, why can't Halton Council go halves?
Halton Council should remember there is more than one sport in the borough and we all have votes soon.
