WIDNES warmed up for their forthcoming Lancashire cup final with an excellent victory over a well-drilled team from the Wirral.

THE Widnes U13s, which have dominated mini rugby since the age of six and were playing in their 31st final, having never lost a final previously, showed another side to their tremendous team spirit after being completely overwhelmed by the pace of the Ormskirk full back John Pape who scored five tries.
