TEACHERS have praised the work of staff involved in an initiative aimed at keeping school children safe.
On Thursday, pupils at Cledford Junior School attended Congleton Borough Council's Safety Town exhibition at Middlewich's Civic Hall to learn how to deal with a range of potential dangers in the home and on the roads.
Norma Bayley, Year Three teacher at Cledford Junior School, said the pupils had a 'fantastic' time and benefited greatly from the experience.
She said: "We've been fortunate to go each time and it is a fantastic way to learn.
"It gives children a very visual picture in their minds, which is very meaningful to kids.
"Each time we go the staff pick up something new.
"It's very motivating and organisers need to be applauded for what they are doing."
Teachers at the school will now incorporate what was demonstrated in the exhibition into their lesson plans.
