GREEN-FINGERED children from three Northwich primary schools are putting their gardening skills to a national test.
The pupils, from Hartford Manor Primary School, Sandiway Primary School and Winnington Park Primary School, have been blooming in workshops led by staff from Weaver Vale Garden Centre.
They have eight weeks to grow their petunias before taking them to the Winnington Lane garden centre to be judged.
The winner of this heat will be given tickets to attend the grand final of the National Schools Growing Competition at the NEC in Birmingham.
The overall winner will win £1,000 for their school and take home £100 of National Garden Centre vouchers.
