Sheelagh Warner's "B" party climbed Simon's Seat via the Valley of Desolation and returned to the grounds of Bolton Abbey along the Dales Way, a walk of 11 miles.
The "C" party, led by Peter Wilson, left the Abbey and headed for Lower Barden Reservoir and on to Barden Tower. The return via the Dales Way completed a pleasant walk of nine miles.
