ELDERLY residents in Sandbach are being invited to take advantage of a new accident prevention scheme.
The scheme, which aims to improve the safety, security and well-being of the town's elderly residents, is a community partnership between the Congleton Borough Council and Cheshire County Council's social services.
Under the scheme, a handyman can be asked to visit a home and undertake small repairs, including the installation of a curtain rail and fixing locks and bolts.
