BULLS Head were crowned champions of the Grappenhall Darts League for the fourth time after they defeated Stockton Heath Legion on Monday.

Paul Oxley won his game with a nine-dart finish - the least arrows of the season - to clinch the title, while N Jackson also won his match in 17 darts as Bulls won 6-3.

Pickerings Arms won 8-1 against Ye Olde No 3 after racing into a 5-0 lead, with their top marksmen being T Potts, 16, and I Ocego, 18.

G Hussey won in 15 darts but could not prevent Star being beaten 5-4 by Crown, for whom R Norcott won in 16, while GTL thrashed Golden Lion 6-3, with their top thrower being C Swindells, 14.

Rams Head lost 8-1 at home to ESMA, for whom G Hanglin won in 15 darts, and Warrington Town defeated Fleece 6-2, with their top marksman being M Lyons, 24.

GYCA No 2 won the FX Lyons Trophy after a 3-1 victory against Pickerings Arms in the final, with T Horan winning in 17 darts.
