Widnes Ball Bulldogs 20
Bank Quay Bulls 2
BANK Quay's hopes of a second cup final of the season were left in tatters as they suffered a shock semi-final defeat to Widnes Ball in the North West Counties Cup on Saturday.
Bulls were aiming to add the NWC trophy to the Lancashire Cup they won earlier in the campaign, but despite weathering an early storm they were always second best.
Bank Quay, who failed to score a try for the first time in several seasons, play their final league game of the season at home to Ulverston on Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm.
