WITH reference to the story headlined 'Eight days of roadworks at Winwick Road' (Guardian, April 7), there was nothing wrong with the part of the A49 they are "improving". All these new roadworks have done is put yet more pressure on other Warrington roads, increasing traffic.
The big question now is: when is the council going to fix Hawleys Lane just off the A49?
I have been over cobbled roads smoother than that one.
