JUDGES will be making their way around towns and villages in mid Cheshire to see which will be put through to the next round of the Community Pride Competition 2005.
The aim of the competition, sponsored by Shell UK, is to encourage communities to work together to improve their environment on a regular basis and there are prizes to encourage different village groups.
Competition organiser Cheshire County Council is offering a prize for the best environmental scheme and the districts are encouraging community projects.
Cheshire Constabulary is also supporting the competition by offering a community safety award, promoting public awareness and participation in all aspects of community safety.
