Curzon Ashton Res 2

Penk and Sank Eagle 1

PENKETH and Sankey Eagle missed the chance to regain top spot in Mid-Cheshire League Division Two when their 16-match unbeaten run came to an end against 10-man Curzon Ashton on Friday night.

Preidt headed home Anderton's free kick to give Eagle a seventh-minute lead but Curzon equalised just after the break. The home side then had a player sent off with seven minutes remaining but it did not prevent them grabbing a last-minute winner.

Greenalls PSO 1

Crewe FC 0

GREENALLS Padgate St Oswalds extended their unbeaten run to six games despite being reduced to 10 men against Crewe FC.

Greenalls, who also won 2-0 at Pilkingtons last midweek, were thankful that goalkeeper Phil Cartwright was in superb form in a rocky first half.

Things were not looking good when Dave Bush was sent off for an alleged elbow, but Fergus Morris popped up to earn Greenalls all three points. They play their last home game of the season against Bollington on Saturday.
