OUR speaker was Chris Symes, who gave a most interesting talk and slide show about his solo motorcycle journey through Europe and on to the Chinese border.
Next month's meeting will deal with the care of our environment. We also want to raise awareness about the unfair difference between retail prices of milk and the prices paid to the farmer.
Visitors are welcome to this and any other meeting on the third Thursday of each month at 7.30pm in Whitley Village Hall.
At our meeting in May we shall have an exhibition table demonstrating all the skills of our members, where anything from poems and pictures to cakes and needlework will be on display and Sue Abbott will display her computer web designs.
