POLICE are encouraging people to remain vigilant to possible cases of voting fraud in the run up to the General Election.
Officers at Cheshire Police have spoken to returning officers and are telling the public to be aware so they feel safe and secure in the run-up to the May 5 vote.
Chief Superintendent Derek Barnett said: "The Cheshire Constabulary is politically impartial, but dedicated to the principle that everyone should be able to participate in the democratic process without fear of disruption, disorder or fraud."
