A CHOCOLATE mountain is the latest method a group of Warrington Scouts are using to help them get to a summer camp with a difference.
A group of 26 explorer Scouts and Scouts from across Warrington are set to take part in Eurojam, the largest gathering of Scouts and Guides in the UK, in Essex in the summer.
But they need the funds to help get them there.
And one of the innovative projects has been to collect a now raffle off a mountain of more than 200 chocolate bars, blocks and boxes.
Tickets are £1 for a book of five and available from Malcolm Kingdon on 852958. The draw takes place on Sunday May 1.
The 12-day camp will see Scouts from as far a field as Latvia, France, Malta and Canada and the group from Warrington want to showcase the town according to Explorer Scout Leader, Phillip Winstanley.
He added: "We want to show Warrington off and make our camp recognisable as Warrington."
May 1 will also be the date for another charity event with a Euro dinner dance evening at FS Restaurant on Folly Lane.
A three course meal and disco is on offer with a dress theme of something red, white, black or blue.
Tickets are £12.50 and available from Malcolm Kingdon on 852958.
