A FIRE safety message is to be emblazoned on a fleet of Smart cars.
Cheshire Fire Service will have 20 liveried Smart cars publicising its Be Smart Be Safe fire protection campaign, which targets Cheshire's elderly and vulnerable.
The campaign offers free fire safety checks and the installation of free smoke alarms for vulnerable members of the community. The four-year fire prevention programme focused in this way, is the first of its kind in the UK.
A spokesman said: "Driven by frontline fire safety officers, the high visibility Smart cars will be seen at campaign promotions in schools, shopping centres and other public locations as well as going about their business in towns and villages throughout the County."
