OFFICIALS at Warrington Borough Council are asking residents to come forward with their views on how they are kept informed and updated on major planning issues.
They hope that individuals, groups, organisations and businesses are fully informed and consulted when significant planning matters are being discussed.
Clr Terry O'Neill, executive member for sustainable regeneration, said he hoped people will have an even more active influence in addressing the main planning policies.
The council has set out proposals in a draft statement of community involvement.
He added: "This will give people greater involvement in the development of planning policies and proposals."
The statement aims to reach out to people in 'hard to reach' groups who have not historically been involved in the planning process.
Copies of the statement are being sent to many groups and organisations. If you want to see a copy, they will be in all libraries for a six-week period with comments due by Friday, May 27.
