A SEX attacker seriously assaulted a Widnes pensioner outside her front door.
He grabbed the 83-year-old from behind in Northern Lane, Hough Green. He sexually assaulted her, then fled when she cried out for help.
Investigating police officer Det Con Darren Riley said: "This is an extremely serious offence against a vulnerable woman.
"Although not physically injured, it has left her very shaken. The offence could have been far worse if the victim hadn't screamed out."
The attack was at 9.30pm on Tuesday, April 19. The pensioner had been coming home from a friend's house. The police now want witnesses - and any other victims - to come forward. The man was around 5ft 8ins tall, of slim build with short-cropped brown hair and clean-shaven. He had a slim face and was wearing a plain white t-shirt with short sleeves and an open neck collar.
