ENTRIES are flooding in for this year's prestigious Vale Royal Business Awards.

The glittering gala event takes place on Wednesday, June 15, at Portal Golf and Country Club in Tarporley.

Comms-care Group Ltd, of Spring Farm Business Centre, Moss Lane, Crewe, has entered the Business of the Year award.

It started trading in February 2003 with just three employees, but now has almost 50 staff nationwide and expects to make £450,000 profits this year.

Managing director Scott Yates said: "People are our only product.

"We support all our engineers with training and study time."

Amanda Buckley, the owner of BB Design, in Marlowe Road, Northwich, has entered the Start up Business of the Year.

She said: "It is better to have tried and failed than never tried at all.

"It is even better if you can say you tried and succeeded."

Amanda's three-year plan is to get more customers and let people know where she is based.

Her one-year plan is to make a profit and be known for quality and service.
