TRAIN services in Warrington will be severely disrupted this bank holiday weekend by engineering work.
From Saturday, April 30, until Monday, May 2, some Virgin Trains West Coast and CrossCountry services will be subject to alteration and replaced by buses.
On Saturday, April 30 the Crewe to Glasgow central route will be closed with trains diverted from Crewe to Preston via Wilmslow and Bolton.
What it means in Warrington is that coach links will run from Warrington Bank Quay to Crewe and Preston where replacement services will run to and from Carlisle and Glasgow Central.
The closure will enable engineering works to upgrade the routes.
Customers are asked to check travel details in advance with National Rail Enquiries on 08457 484950 or www.nationarail.co.uk.
