I HAVE perceived information that the Runcorn/Widnes Bridge was opened in 1961.
It was named the Silver Jubilee Bridge in 1977.
I couldn't give a darn what the thing is called as long as it carries out the purposes of intent, which it does.
Let's hear no more of this parochial xenophobia.
