I HAVE recently heard news that Halton Council plans to re-develop the Queens Hall Studio in Widnes.

While I welcome the regeneration of the Queens Hall and its surrounding area and also the resources that have been set aside by the council, I am dismayed by the fact that no provision has been made to re-open the Queens Hall Studio.

I feel that the needs of local musicians, such as myself are being ignored through this oversight, as a number of venues for bands in the town to showcase live music are diminishing fast.

I have forwarded this e-mail to your newspaper in the hope that it will highlight the case and put pressure on the Halton Council to reconsider its decision.
