NEWLY planted conifers and shrubs have been stolen from outside a children's nursery.
Staff at Little Treasures, next to Evelyn Street Primary School, in Sankey Bridges, came in to work last Tuesday to find 23 conifers and six shrubs missing.
Then on Wednesday night the thieves came back and took the rest of the shrubs and a cherry blossom tree.
Lisa Edwards, at the nursery, said: "It has come out of nowhere - we have not had any problems before.
"We only had the work done two weeks ago, when we had more than 100 plants put in.
"We tried to do something to make our environment look nice and now this has happened.
"I just want people to be aware and to stay alert in case they see anybody doing something similar."
