THE talk by Clr Brian Lloyd entitled Now, there's a funny thing, gave a hilarious account of his love of comedy which began during childhood holidays in Blackpool. Watching comedians such as Albert Modley and Frank Randle, led to his own interest in comedy and later, to his becoming a comedian.
He revealed his own comic talent with brilliant impersonations of Max Miller, Tommy Trinder and Tommy Cooper.
Future events include the Cheshire Show and a group outing to Yorkshire, on May 11.
Blanche Hind and Anna Allardice were thanked for organising the recent outing to Boundary Mill, which had been much enjoyed.
Winners of a 'humorous card' were Gwenyth Altman, Pat Smith and Jill Holman in third.
