NEWTON Storm under 14s rugby league team put in their best performance of the season so far to avenge a recent defeat by Woolston.
The referee's award as player of the match went to Martin Beddows for a superb all round display in which he scored four tries and also earned the top tackler trophy.
Ryan Sanderson scored two tries on his debut, earning him the award as most improved player.
The team's own player of the match trophy was given to Daniel Grimshaw for his excellent running and overall workrate.
The best try came from Mike Roughley, who finished off a great handling move to score near the corner.
