POLICE are urging car owners to take precautionary measures after a spate of car vandalism in Middlewich at the weekend.
Three cars parked along Booth Lane were damaged by vandals in the early hours of Saturday.
PC Alison Wright, from Congleton's Community Action Team, said: "We got the first call at 12.10am to say that a group of youths had kicked the wing mirror off a car. We then got two more calls to say that the same thing had happened to two other vehicles."We have now been made aware that this is a problem along Booth Lane and I would advise car owners to pull their wing mirrors overnight as a form of prevention.
"But I would also ask people to call immediately if they see this happening so that we can respond to it."
