A BLOCK of sheltered housing is becoming unsafe to live in and has been neglected by the council according to a Croft councillor.
Clr Les Hoyle said requests to repair Croft House, a Warrington Borough Council run block of sheltered housing, have been ignored to such a level that even the smallest jobs remain undone.
He said: "These are elderly residents and this is their home. They are very disappointed by the council.
"Even requests for the smallest work have been ignored.
"We as a council have a responsibility to all our residents and I am asking for money to help these people now - not in a year when the stock transfer is completed."
Clr Pat Wright, executive member for community services, said she would take Clr Hoyle's request "into consideration".
