A SOCIAL club set up to get Middlewich pensioners out and about is picking up steam with two day trips already organised.
Since the Cameo Set celebrated its official opening on April 20, founding member Bill Blunn says he has been inundated with phone calls and is inviting Middlewich residents to join the group on two day trips. The first trip takes place on Monday when the group will pay a visit to The Grosvenor Nursery in Chester, followed by a visit to Ellesmere Port Labour Club to see country and western singer Anne Margaret.
Tickets for the trip are priced £5, including refreshments, and the bus will leave Niddries Coaches, in Lewin Street, at 9am.
The second trip takes place in June 6, when Cameo Set will visit Goathland, in north Yorkshire, where the television series Heartbeat is filmed.
The trip is priced £10 and the coach will leave Niddries Coaches at 8am.
