an exclusive club
TOP HONOUR: Staff and teachers at Verdin High School have been celebrating their status as one of the most successful schools in the country.
They have become one of a select group of schools to be given membership of the Most Improved School's Club in recognition of their exceptional improvements of GCSE results from 2001 to 2004.
The club is designed to give schools like Verdin High School the opportunity to help other schools who are underperforming.
Deputy headteacher Martin Howlett proudly shows off the award with head boy David Ellison-Smith and head girl Rebecca Hitchen. g051904
