ENVIRONMENTAL groups from across the county took part in an awareness day at Middlewich High School.
Year Eight pupils at the school took part in the event on Friday. It was aimed at raising awareness of the environment and to help them understand how their actions can make a difference to the world.
Organisations involved in the awareness day included Friends Of The Earth, Cheshire Wildlife Trust, Congleton Borough Council's recycling department and Middlewich Clean Team.
The pupils took part in a range of practical outdoor activities and Sue Guildford, head of geography at the school, said the event was a valuable experience for pupils who took part.
