FASHIONABLE fundraising plans are in the pipeline from a Northwich college that has just launched a new charity appeal.
Staff and students at Mid-Cheshire College launched their Africa Appeal with an African buffet and rock band and proceeds from a fashion show planned for the summer are already earmarked for the campaign.
Chris Lamb, college tutor and charity events coordinator, said: "The college is setting up a long term relationship with a community in Africa and groups of college staff and students plan to visit to offer direct assistance and work on projects agreed with the community."
Higher National Diploma students will be putting on a fashion show in aid of the charity in June, following a show by the National Diploma students planned for the week earlier, and the students are appealing for sponsors for the two events.
