A MURDER victim is thought to be a former Runcorn man.
Peter Leach had been drinking in a pub and was found dying in a Peterborough street on April 9.
The 54-year-old had suffered a fractured skill.
Two local men, aged 31 and 34, have been charged with murder.
Ted Leach, Peter Leach's brother said: "Peter was a kind hearted man who helped others.
"He was a special brother and will be sadly missed by all his family. I don't think I will ever get over his sudden and tragic death."
Mr Leach was registered at St Theresa's Homeless shelter in Peterborough.
He was unemployed and had been living in his own home.
A friend of Mr Leach and a shelter volunteer, Geoffrey Baker, said Mr Leach had mentioned being from the Runcorn area and had arrived in Peterborough around 1990.
