THE meeting was opened with a prayer by president Barbara Sandbach and after welcoming new member Chris Clayton the usual business was dealt with.
The summer outing on June 1 is to Dunham Massey. It is open to anyone. The coach leaves Davenham at 10.45am, returning at 4.30pm. Muriel Isherwood has all the details for anyone interested in going.
Speaker Dilys Dewswell brought along three friends who were all storywriters.
In turn Dilys, Irene and Clare read stories they had written. Most were about Chester.
