A YEAR in the working life of one of Cheshire's top nurserymen was the topic outlined by Neville Jones, who has been running Dovecote Nurseries at Burton, in Wirral, for the past 23 years.
Mr Jones, the third generation of his family to be involved in the nursery, was speaking to members of Weaverham and District Gardeners Group at their March meeting.
Chairman Joy Brain welcomed several new members to the meeting and said she was delighted that since its inception, only a few months ago, the club's membership was now approaching 60.
She outlined plans for the rest of the year, which include a visit to the walled kitchen garden at Tatton Park, Southport Flower Show and local garden visits.
Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of the month. Please ring Joy for details on 01606 853197.
